Pattaya Countdown and Happy new year Pattaya Countdown and Happy new year, date 25th - 31st December of every years at Pattaya Pier (Bali Hai Cape) south Pattaya, Chonburi. Activities : On Christmas’eve : Street Lights decoration, Pattaya Countdown : Live Concert of singers from all music record companies and Fireworks.

On Sunday Night the grand opening of the seven day event took place at the Bali Hai Port at the south-end of Pattaya Beach. Khun Sontaya, former Sports and Tourism Minister declared the event open along with his younger Brother and mayor of Pattaya, Khun Itipon. Popular Thai Bands and Singers will be performing on a huge sound-stage erected at the port. AB Normal, Joey Boy and Clash are just some of the big names appearing at the event. On the 31st December, Many of the biggest names in pop and rock music here in Thailand will be performing and many Thai superstars will also be in attendance. CNN will also be in attendance to record the New Year Fireworks which will be shown on their International News Station. It is hoped that 500,000 people will attend the 7 day event and will spend an estimated 500 Million Baht.
